Breast Surgery Treatments
Breast Cancer Surgery & Support
What Is Breast Cancer?
Breast cancer occurs when abnormal cells in the breast grow uncontrollably. While early-stage breast cancer is often detected through screening, it can also present with a lump, nipple changes, or skin thickening.
There are many subtypes of breast cancer — including hormone receptor-positive, HER2-positive, and triple-negative — each with different behaviour and treatment needs. Treatment decisions are based on the size, location, biology, and spread of the cancer, as well as your individual preferences and overall health.
